The Italian Formula 4 Championship will hit its halfway mark this weekend, with Dino Beganovic heading to the picturesque Mugello circuit in the heart of Tuscany in a fresh push to grace the podium.
Beganovic’s rookie single-seater campaign has been filled with early promise, the Ferrari Driver Academy youngster making the rostrum already on his first weekend of racing at Misano and backing it up with pole position in the next round at Imola.
The Swede also recorded the fastest lap in one of the subsequent races in Spielberg.
Despite his convincing pace, however, piecing together all aspects of a full race distance has proved slightly more challenging of late – a fact Beganovic is determined to overcome this weekend at Mugello.
“Mugello next, and it’s a track we’ve tested on a few times already,” says Dino Beganovic. “I’ve always been strong on those occasions around there, so hopefully I can convert that into a good result. My main focus at the moment is to piece together all parts of the weekend, from qualifying through to the entirety of the races. Finding that consistency is my next target.”
This weekend’s Italian F4 round officially kicks off with free practice on Friday, but is preceded by a day of testing on Thursday. Qualifying takes place on Saturday, as does the first race of the triple-header meeting, while races two and three conclude the event on Sunday.
