Dino Beganovic has signed to race for DAMS Lucas Oil in the 2026 FIA Formula 2 Championship, reuniting with the French team that gave the Swede his F2 birth last year.
Beganovic made his F2 debut with DAMS Lucas Oil in the final two rounds of the 2024 season, immediately impressing with three points finishes from four races – including a podium in Abu Dhabi.
Moving into 2026, the successful partnership is set to reignite as 21-year-old Beganovic returns to the Le Mans-based outfit.
“I’m excited to be back with DAMS Lucas Oil for next year and to take on another season in Formula 2,” says Dino Beganovic. “The team really made me feel at home during my outings in Qatar and Abu Dhabi last year, and we proved a strong force. I’m grateful for this fresh opportunity and I can’t wait to pick up where we left off.
Currently in his first full season in Formula 2, Beganovic recently became the first Swedish driver in the championship’s modern era to win a race as he stormed to victory on the streets of Baku last month. With two rounds yet to go, his 2025 campaign has also included a further three podiums, one pole position and four fastest laps.
Beganovic will retain the continued support of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy in 2026.

The 2026 FIA Formula 2 Championship will again feature 14 rounds, each consisting of one Sprint Race and one Feature Race. The championship is set to commence in Melbourne, Australia, on March 6-8.
