Dino Beganovic will make his first of three scheduled guest appearances in Germany’s ADAC Formula 4 championship this weekend, bagging further valuable experience in his maiden single-seater campaign.
The Ferrari Driver Academy youngster is spending the majority of the 2020 season in Italian Formula 4, but is also set to contest selected rounds of the analogous German series (which utilises identical Tatuus F4 cars) at three strategically important circuits.
Like in Italy, Beganovic will again represent the Prema Powerteam squad during each of his German exploits.
The first of Beganovic’s ADAC F4 appearances comes this weekend at the fabled Nürburgring, which was recently reinstated on the Formula 1 World Championship calendar.
“I’m looking forward to racing at the Nürburgring,” says Dino Beganovic. “We had a very positive test in Austria last week which we eventually ended on top, so I’m feeling confident. The main difference to Italian F4 is that we have two tyres less per weekend in the German rounds, so tyre management will be vital.”
Heading into this weekend’s races, Beganovic has been announced by the Swedish Motorsport Federation to form part of its National Team structure. Beganovic scored a podium on debut as the Italian F4 championship kicked off two weeks ago, and was instantly rewarded by the Swedish ASN.
“It’s an honour to form part of the National Team in racing,” Dino Beganovic comments. “I’m especially thrilled to be in this position after just one weekend of car racing. Hopefully I can pay back this trust with some strong results this season!”
ADAC F4 action at the Nürburgring begins with practice and qualifying on Friday. The weekend event schedule is similar to that in Italian F4, with a trio of 30-minute races to be played out across Saturday and Sunday.
