– Formula 3 field braced for five rounds in six weeks
– Championship reaches midway point in Spain
Dino Beganovic begins a packed sequence of racing in the FIA Formula 3 Championship this weekend in Barcelona, with the Formula 1 feeder series set to complete five rounds within the next six weeks.
The F3 fraternity will be flat out this summer, with this weekend’s Spanish encounter immediately followed by visits to Austria, Great Britain, Hungary and Belgium in a hectic June/July schedule.
“I’m thrilled to be back on track and excited about this huge stint of races this summer,” says Dino Beganovic. “With five rounds in the next six weeks, half of our season will play out in this coming period. It means plenty to fight for and a lot of racing ahead. All our preparations for these races have been encouraging and I have a positive feeling going into this intense run.”
Beganovic celebrated his maiden F3 win earlier this year in Australia, and heads to Barcelona holding fourth in the championship standings. The Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy youngster also finished on the podium at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in last year’s feature race.
This weekend marks round five out of ten in the 2024 FIA Formula 3 Championship, making it the halfway point of the season.
Running in Spain begins on Friday with practice and qualifying, leading up to the sprint race on Saturday and the feature race in its traditional morning slot on Grand Prix Sunday.
