- Swedish racer looking to recoup early season form
- Silverstone set to stage round seven of 14 in this year’s championship
Dino Beganovic is determined to bounce back from a difficult weekend in Austria as the FIA Formula 2 Championship returns to action just a few days later on the British Grand Prix support bill at Silverstone.
Following a troublesome event in Spielberg that saw him miss out on points for the first time this year, Beganovic is targeting a swift fightback this weekend in Britain.
The DAMS Lucas Oil driver has been visiting the team’s Le Mans workshop this week in preparation for the Silverstone round, which marks the halfway point in this year’s F2 championship.
“We have been pushing hard to understand what went wrong in Spielberg, and to get our pace back to where we were earlier in the year,” says Dino Beganovic. “I’ve been in Le Mans this week working with the team, and I’m optimistic that Silverstone could be a turning point. It’s a very high-speed circuit with many quick corners, which I think will suit us. We have high hopes of bouncing back this weekend.”
Formula 2 running will get underway at Silverstone with practice and qualifying on Friday. Attention then shifts to racing for the rest of the weekend, with the sprint race on Saturday and the feature race on Sunday.
