– Swede returns to winning grounds in the principality
– Qualifying critical as FIA F3 paddock regroups for blue-riband event
Just days after racing to a pair of top five finishes in Imola, Dino Beganovic returns to action in the FIA Formula 3 Championship this week for one of the highlights of the season: Monaco.
A previous winner in the principality in Formula Regional in 2022, Beganovic came close to standing on top of the Monte Carlo podium once again on his first F3 visit last year, taking second in the feature race.
Carrying those fond memories back to the famous street circuit for round four of the 2024 season, the PREMA Racing Swede is determined to add to his silverware collection on the Riviera.
“It’s a great feeling coming back to Monaco,” says Dino Beganovic. “Having had the level of success I’ve had there in the past, it’s a nice confidence boost. I love driving on those streets and the added adrenaline that comes with it. The barriers are so close and you’re really pushing the limits. Qualifying is extra special, and obviously super important in Monaco, so that’s something I’m looking forward to a lot this weekend. I can’t wait to be back.”
Beganovic currently sits third in the FIA F3 standings heading into the Monaco event, which traditionally begins on Thursday with the sole practice session of the meeting. Qualifying takes centre stage on Friday, featuring a unique split group format to alleviate traffic within the tight confines of the city-state.
As per the usual F3 weekend schedule, the sprint race is scheduled for Saturday while the main feature race will precede the world-renowned Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix on Sunday.
