– Hungary next up on FIA Formula 3 schedule
– Swede eyeing fresh opportunity at twisty Hungaroring
The outskirts of Budapest will set the stage this weekend as Dino Beganovic returns to action in the FIA Formula 3 Championship for round eight of the 2024 season.
Looking to put the disappointment of a mixed-weather weekend at Silverstone firmly behind, Beganovic is relishing the fresh challenge provided by the twisty Hungaroring, where he was a strong contender last year and finished second in the F3 feature race.
“I am really looking forward to being back on track this weekend,” says Dino Beganovic. “I couldn’t be more determined to bounce back after a tough couple of races. This is a fresh opportunity and I’m aiming high. We were really quick at Hungaroring last year and I’m confident that we can do a good job.”
The Hungarian round is immediately followed back-to-back with a visit to Belgium’s Spa-Francorchamps next weekend, leaving plenty of points on the table in the coming days as Beganovic bids to improve on P6 in the standings.
“It’s nice to have these races back-to-back before the summer break,” Dino Beganovic concludes. “It’s all still to play for. I feel good about it and my focus now is to put this first weekend together, and then we’ll see how we go.”
F3 action in Hungary begins on Friday with practice and qualifying. As per usual, the sprint race is slated for Saturday and the feature race for Sunday morning of the Hungarian Grand Prix.
