- Swede returns to Formula 1 practice duty with Ferrari
- Set to drive SF-26 during opening hour of running in Brazil
Dino Beganovic will make his third Free Practice 1 (FP1) appearance of the 2026 FIA Formula 1 World Championship season this weekend, taking part in Friday’s opening session at the São Paulo Grand Prix.
Once again undertaking driving duties for Scuderia Ferrari HP, the Swede will step into Charles Leclerc’s SF-26 for the opening hour of action on Friday at Interlagos.
The FP1 outing will mark Beganovic’s first visit to the famous São Paulo track, which has been the longtime home of Formula 1 in Brazil.
Beganovic, who was recently announced as an official Development and Reserve Driver for Ferrari’s F1 team, previously drove for the Scuderia in FP1 in Barcelona (Spain) and Spielberg (Austria) earlier in the year.
”I am looking forward to returning to the wheel of the SF-26 this weekend in Brazil,” says Dino Beganovic. ”I have never been there before and I can’t wait to try out Interlagos for the first time. This being my third FP1 outing of the year, I feel we can really hit the ground running. Like always, the aim is to help the team to the best of my ability and to ensure we gather as much information as possible for the remainder of the weekend.”
The São Paulo Grand Prix FP1 session takes place between 16.30-17.30 CET on Friday.
